- Asheville Initiative for Mathematics (AIM): This is a collaborative effort of many members of the Buncombe County community to improve the levels of math literacy among citizens of Buncombe County. This group is chaired by Sam Kaplan of UNCA.
- Participants include: Buncombe County Schools, Asheville City Schools, UNC-Asheville, Mission Hospital, YWCA, and many more.
